Ha ocurrido en la Avenida de Aljarafe, en Bormujos (Sevilla). El hombre ha sido pillado "in situ" mientras envenenaba la comida de los gatos callejeros con "aguafuerte", un producto líquido altamente tóxico y mortal en caso de ingestión. Una persona que pasaba por la zona lo vió y se dispuso a grabar el delito, aunque al autor de los hechos parece no importarle y se marcha tranquilamente.
La colonia de gatos perjudicada es cuidada y alimentada por el vecindario y, tras lo ocurrido, entidades que luchan por los derechos de los animales en la zona como son "CES Bormujos" y "Maullando Libre", han denunciado los hechos ante las autoridades. Así lo explica una portavoz: “mientras algunos intentamos mejorar la vida de los gatos callejeros, y luchan por una mejor convivencia entre vecinos de distintas especies, otros se dedica a echar aguafuerte sobre los animales y sus crías, en sus comederos y bebederos”. También aclara que la colonia en cuestión es aceptada por los vecinos, “pues saben el gran beneficio que les supone para evitar gran variedad de plagas”.
Ahora se trata de encontrar a la persona de las imágenes y piden ayuda vecinal para que si alguien lo ve le disuada de sus acciones, además de avisar a los vecinos con perros de que "tengan cuidado de que sus animales al pasar por la zona no ingiera el pienso que tira después de rociarlo con aguafuerte”.
Por desgracia, varias crías de gato han fallecido por haber ingerido el pienso envenenado por esta persona, así que las voluntarias ya están trabajando para esterilizar a la colonia y reubicarla tras la terrible situación con la que se han encontrado.
